Touring Old Panama City and the Panama Canal

Touring Old Panama City and the Panama Canal

We set out early in search of a breakfast spot and stumbled upon a charming hole-in-the-wall
café where we enjoyed a delightful meal. Afterward, we wandered through the city, taking
in the historical remnants of French influence, including the old capital and churches, with
only a few walls still standing. We had plans to meet our tour guide at a local café around
1 PM for a walking tour of Old Panama City, followed by a visit to the Panama Canal.

After a brief rest at our hotel, we made our way to the meeting point for the canal tour.
The experience was incredible; we witnessed a ship entering the lock, and as the water
was drained, it made its way out to the Pacific Ocean—truly a sight to behold. Additionally,
we watched a fascinating film about the canal's construction, which added depth to our
understanding of this engineering marvel.
